Classroom Guidelines
Come to class on time. Standing outside the door and rushing in after the bell will constitute as being tardy. The school tardiness policy will be strictly enforced.
Come to class prepared. Bring required materials to class everyday unless directed otherwise.
Attend to personal needs before the start of class when possible. Students will only be given TWO passes per week, unless otherwise specified by administration. So remember to get what you need from your locker before class. Get a drink before class begins. Any pass violations will be reported to the Dean of Students.
Do not eat candy or other food in class unless given special permission to do so. School policy does not permit any food or candy in areas other than the cafeteria. Students may bring water, but that is all that is permitted.
Respect the learning environment. Do not get up and walk around the room during a lesson; throw away all trash prior to or at the end of class. Do not write on, carve out, or draw on the desks. Treat computers kindly. Talk when permitted. Violations of these rules will have consequences.
Respect yourself and others. Derogatory language directed toward another person or in general is not permitted and will not be taken lightly. Profanity and rude gestures are not acceptable. Also, follow school policy related to harassment and inappropriate behavior.
Follow school policies. The student handbook outlines all school policy, which should be followed accordingly. PLAGIARISM is outlined in the handbook and is a serious matter. If plagiarism occurs in my class, the assignment will receive a ZERO, a copy of the misconduct will be given to guidance to remain on file, and a parents will be contacted.
Keep this in your notebook to avoid any confusion about the rules in this classroom.
