1.    Read pages 2 – 24 in The American Pageant textbook.
•    Critical Reading is important in order to retain the information and fully understand the material
•    Complete the terminology worksheet (It will help you determine what information is necessary to understanding the content.)
      
2.    Read pages 1-22 in A People’s History reading

3.    Read the article titled “Once Upon a Genocide”

4.    Read “For the Love of Gold” article

5.    Read the article titled The Collision of Culture answer the questions following each source
   
6.    Essay Assignment
•    Answer the following question: What was the impact on the Indians, Europeans, and Africans when each of their previously separate worlds “collided” with one another? (Consider the motives for discovery, the Columbian Exchange, and the Native American Response to name a few)
•    Must include at least THREE citations from the sources listed below. Use parenthetical references. Example: (Kennedy, page number).
•    Criteria
